5Well worth it!  May 31, 2011

I got these to finish up replacing all the heads on a new drum kit I recently acquired. These worked perfectly as the resonant heads on my toms. I'm using Evans all around, and the difference in sound quality was dramatic! If you're not satisfied with the sound of your drums, some quality heads are a great investment. That plus some good tuning can make even a low-end kit have a great sound. Highly recommend these heads to anyone!

okay, so i play death metal (heres where tone enthusiasts deny my opinions) anyhow. So i have my SLIGHTLY muffled bass drum (or else you cant hear it over guitars and bass) and my HD dry snare, and my chinas ans effects and crashes and rides and hats and all this other gear oriented towards playing metal (on a budget of course, lol) but most times when i listen to death metal, toms are flat sounding and kinda quiet. I want my fills to ring out and have lots of i guess more timbre of the drums. and i think these single ply's do much better at it then a double ply head.these are bright sounding, and feel surprisingly durable for single ply. i recommend them for any style. they sound great.
