4BadAax SG1  Nov 28, 2011
By Robert J. Verone "robbieverone"
My 12 year old son is starting to learn guitar & would like an SG style. He saw a beginner level Epiphone SG at Guitar Center that he liked (with 1 pickup & a non-adjustable compensating bridge)and although it wasn't too bad of an instrument, i felt i could do better. So I went to Amazon & found this SG copy by Badaax that had 2 pickups, a Tune-o-matic bridge AND a hardshell case for the same money. I ordered it and was not disappointed. it has a nice neck though i needed to level the frets to eliminate a couple of buzzing spots. The pickups sound good having a little more bite than the usual humbuckers. Make no mistake, there are a few signs of cheapness, but all-in-all it's a pretty good guitar. I was actually tempted to take it onstage to really try it out. Certainly worth the meager price... and the case is pretty sweet as well!
