surprised Mar 25, 2009
By M. Hutto I run an internet radio broadcast from my home. I have used many microphones for this broadcast, and I thought I would invest in an inexpensive microphone so than I could use it on some remote broadcasts. I thought, "I'll buy this mic, and if it tears up I'll only be out a few dollars". I also thought that if I didn't like it, I would just send it back. When I got the mic I was pleasently surprised at the sturdy build and the tone of the mic. I tested the microphone in my studio, and decided to use it in the studio instead of in the field. I have added it to the other three microphones and am now using it for some talk radio segments. This microphone is perfect for the price. The only problem is that it gets a little muddy if you speak too close to it when recording at higher levels. Other than that it is a great mic, especially for the price.

Great but Not what i was promised Apr 16, 2010
By Melanie K. Mortensen First ill say that I love the mic. After you get the distance down it sounds great, real warm and with no static The only problem i have with it is that on the page it said it recorded at 24 bit with 96khz While it only does 48khz and 16 bit. Thought about complaining but it sounds good enough but i would recommend a pop filter all and all great all around recording mic!

GREAT deal!! Jun 23, 2009
By Timothy R. Sullivan This microphone is great. The sound quality is fantastic and it is very sensitive. Make sure you have a quiet room! I sing in church and was asked to make a cd of the songs I have sung. I didn't know what I was doing but this mic made even me sound good! A good mic for a reasonable cost. Give it a try.

Eagletone CM40 Mar 20, 2009

I use an Alesis Studio24 Mixer which has Phantom Power. This microphone sounded very warm, very quiet, and crystal clear. I was able to hear the wind blowing outside ( I have a very quiet home ). My boston terrier walked by me and was grunting, and I was able to hear her grunting through my headphones as if I was not listening through a Mic at all. For the money this is a great studio condenser mic.

Great Sound If It Installs Dec 14, 2011
By AshleyAckley As all of the others mention, the sound is great, especially for this price range. The only thing that kept it from 5 starts was the hit or miss drivers, which seem to only be half present on my win7sp1 system (there are 3 that install and the "audio device" one fails) but works well with all others
This mic is so sensitive that i hung it a few feet over an acoustic drum set and it picked up every squeak and rim shot bright and clear, and the actual pickup of the performance was like i had a board and mic kit! There is no reason that someone couldn't get a beautiful recording of an entire band with this.
