5The best "store-it-in-the-bell" stand on the market  Nov 22, 2007
By Victor H. Agresti "remodeling-guy"
5-leg K & M Trumpet Stand

I've been playing trumpet for over 45 years and have seen every make/model of stand there is. Take my word for it, this five-legged K&M stand is the most stable stored-in-the-bell stand available. The slight additional weight you'll carry around is worth it to have a safer place for your trumpet when not playing. The stands that are more stable than this one are too large and heavy to carry to rehearsals and gigs.

In other words, this is the one to get.

The legs on this stand are aluminum. A fellow player stepped on a leg and it bent; I was able to straighten it by hand.

I leave it in the bell of a Schilke trumpet in an instrument case and it doesn't scratch the bell's silver plating.

Avoid K&M's 3 legged version of this stand, as your trumpet can easily be tipped over with that obsolete design.

5A great trumpet stand!  May 28, 2009

This is the best stand I've encountered for holding a single trumpet. The stand seems to be very well made. It is compact enough to fit inside a trumpet case. Its 6-footed design is very stable - much better than the tripod versions that are prone to getting knocked over. And its made in Germany rather than China.

5Wonderful  Nov 15, 2010

This thing is amazing! Yeah, I'm only twelve, but I play in the advanced band at my middle school so I've been taught the good and bad in music. I bought this thing so I didn't have to set it on the ground, where it would definitely be vulnerable in a room full of thirteen-year-olds. Anyway, I bought this stand, and it keeps the trumpet up perfectly. It doesn't lean, it doesn't shake, it doesn't tip, even when bumped or accidentally whacked. It's got felt padding on the base so your trumpet will not be scratched, and the top fits snug in your bell, all the way up in there so it has no chance of slipping off whatsoever. The legs screw off as one, all on a hinge, that can be folded together with the stand part and stuck into the bell for storage inside the case with it, and to top it all off, this thing was made with great quality in Germany, not common ol' China (no offense to anyone who might take it from any such remark). This stand is a great buy for all serious about their trumpet.

i love this product, it fits perfectly inside the bell of my trumpet when it is in the case, thus making it easy to transport. The package shipped faster than i expected living in alaska, it got her in less than a week!

Stand is perfect. Much better than the 3 spoke kinds. Its very firm and sturdy. I love it, and it fits right into the bell of the trumpet for easy storage in the case.
