Does it's job Jul 11, 2010
By Gregory Lester This little capo does what it is supposed to. It works fine, maybe just as well as a $20 capo. The only thing is that it takes time screwing and unscrewing to put it on and take it off. At first I bought this capo for one song, but found along the way it is used for a lot of songs. Overall, good capo for the price

Great deal Nov 28, 2010
By Euphoric! This thing is perfect for beginning guitar players to even advanced. It does what it's supposed to do just fine. Everything the other reviewers said are true. With regards to the potential for the screw driving through the bottom, I placed a little piece of rubber and that seems to be working fine. It does take some time taking off and on, but given the price of this thing you really can't go wrong. Doesn't damage your guitar, built sturdy enough, and no buzz when you play.

Great for the price Jun 17, 2010
By Francis Enriquez This capo is great. It holds down all the strings on every guitar i have tried it with and doesn't lose its grip. Only problem is that it takes time to move the capo because you have to screw it and unscrew it. Also The part where the screw hits the bottom part of the capo will wear down. it is very important to either put some sort of thing to pad the screw or on the capo it self. If you don't at some point you'll drive the screw right through the capo. But overall you get the best with what you paid for.
A less convenient way to get the job done. Feb 04, 2012
By snocyclist Works great, but it is a little annoying to have to tighten and loosen the screw to use every time.
Some responses to comments I've seen in the reviews:
--I've had mine for 5 years, used moderately, and the wear on the metal from the bottom of the screw is negligible. Haven't put a pad there or anything.
--The manual screw functionality does, I feel, give an added level of control...you can make it very tight to ensure no buzz.
--However, range of motion is on the wide side. To get it to properly capo the first fret on my acoustic, I have to put it right on the edge of the 1st string, and screw it down all the way, and it does sometimes leave some buzz.
The price is nice though, so I would recommend it as a perfectly fine capo.

I've been using this for roughly a year now, and it works fine. It feels a bit cheap, but then it IS cheap. It's not as easy to move as a spring-loaded capo, but it's also much lower profile. Overall, I like it and it's certainly worth the (minimal) price.
