5Well, there goes the Yamaha  Nov 21, 2011
By Juanhoo Ceeks
I had a Yamaha YAS-23 for 4 1/2 years before I bought this saxophone, and then a Yamaha Allegro 525, and this sax has just blown me away. The flowers on the saxophone are very well done gold flowers, and the sax itself is a black lacquer, which is VERY visually appealing, and it shines al over when light hits it. The keys are in very convenient places, (the high F key is closer to where the hand is than other saxes, eliminating the need to reach over) and along with an alternate F# key, there is a high F# and G key next to it. The sax has a very nice, warm sound, and the next strap is cushy AND black (the neck strap with my YAS-23 was cushy, but it was full of other colors, like pink, purple, and light blue; the 525 was black but had no cushion on it). To my surprise, this saxophone has beaten, in my opinion, both Yamahas with flying colors. A must buy for avid saxophone players.
